The fastest-growing lamp segment, and the one that suits online sellers best. At 0.5–1 kg these ship as parcels rather than freight, carry a low-voltage LED instead of a mains bulb, and hit an impulse price point. For e-commerce ranges where shipping cost decides margin, this is usually where to start.

A 3 kg lamp costs more to ship to a domestic customer than many sellers make on the sale. At 0.5–1 kg a USB lamp fits standard parcel bands, which is why marketplace sellers stock this size far more heavily than the traditional range. The unit price is lower but the margin after shipping is usually better.
USB units carry a low-voltage LED, so they run cool and draw very little power. That removes the humidity problem that affects larger lamps — a warm incandescent bulb keeps a big lamp dry, whereas a cool LED does not, so these are best sold as decorative night lighting rather than positioned on the drying properties of a bulb.
USB-C is now the sensible default for new ranges and is what most buyers specify. We supply either, and can split a single order across both if you are transitioning stock.
Less so than a mains lamp with a warm bulb. The LED runs cool, so in high humidity the surface may bead moisture. We include care guidance in the retail insert; for genuinely humid markets the traditional bulb range performs better.
