Votives are the highest-turnover item in the whole salt range. They carry no electrical components, no cord, no bulb and no compliance burden — just a drilled crystal that takes a standard tealight. That makes them the cheapest line to ship, the easiest to sell, and the natural entry product for a buyer testing the category.

Every other lamp line carries a cord, a bulb, a plug type and a safety standard that varies by destination. A votive carries none of that. It cannot fail electrically, cannot be recalled for a wiring fault, and needs no CE or UL documentation. For a distributor entering the salt category, this removes most of the compliance work in one step.
Gift shops and garden centres take them as impulse items at the till. Wedding and event suppliers buy them in hundreds as favours. Spas and restaurants use them as table lighting and reorder as they erode. The consumption pattern matters commercially: unlike a lamp, which is bought once, a votive used regularly gets replaced.
The recess is drilled for a standard 39 mm tealight, which is the common size across Europe and North America. If your market uses a different size, specify it at quotation and we will drill to your dimension.
Not under normal use — the tealight sits in its own metal cup and the heat is modest. Advise customers not to run a tealight completely dry in the recess repeatedly, which over many cycles can craze the surface. That guidance goes on the insert for boxed sets.
